About me

Hi, I’m Haley!

I moved from Hawaiʻi to Japan in 2016 to attend university and have been here ever since. I had originally planned to move back home after I graduated, but I kept finding reasons to extend my stay. I am now married to a Japanese person, and we enjoy our life in Tokyo, while making annual trips back to Hawaiʻi. 

Having recently left my corporate role, I'm taking this opportunity to explore my next adventure and I'd love to share insights from my time in Japan with anyone interested. As I navigate this new chapter and look to make Japan my permanent home, I want to reflect on the experiences that have shaped my journey in Japan. It hasn't always been easy, and I know there are moments, both cherished and challenging, that deserve to be documented and explored.

I also plan to share my experiences living in Tokyo, offering a glimpse into daily life as a foreigner. If there’s anything specific you'd like to learn or read about, please let me know!
